Thing #6 Dropbox

For this post I explored "Dropbox."  I had heard of this site before but did not really understand.  After some research I found that this site is a place for you to store all of your files and have access to them all no matter where you are.  I think this is an amazing idea because lately my battery in my laptop has been acting weird.  After creating a dropbox account I was able to save my important files and pictures to a file that I can access from anywhere.  So if my computer does just give out one day, (knock on wood it doesn't) I won't have to worry about losing some very important things.  I can just pull up my files and pictures on another computer.  Anytime I have internet access I will have access to my files. So cool. :)

I like that it is very convenient and easy to use.  The other thing that I don't really understand is that if people can use this, they can use a flash drive.  It's just as easy.  I could see this being very helpful in schools for teachers or for high school students.  Community files could be made that multiple people could access with homework, lesson plan ideas, project, etc.  Dropbox is a pretty program.  I recommend it to everyone.
