What does the future of education look like? It's a valid question to ask since I am investing all of my time and money into becoming a future educator. I can't help but wonder what an elementary classroom will look like in 5-10 years.
The Internet is one of the main things that is causing rapid changes to our education today. People have an unlimited amount of knowledge at their fingertips because the internet is available basically everywhere. My reactions are the same as most living in modern day America. Modern technology has replaced things like books, everyday conversation with people, land line phones, even paper in some cases. I feel overwhelmed sometimes at how fast it is progressing, but yet I use it just as often as everyone else.
Because all forms of technology are basically becoming genetically encoded into children now, School 2.0 means to me that lots more technology is going to be incorporated into classrooms. It means that schools will have continued access to all sorts of things to incorporate into lessons, and all sorts of things to use to teach. This means that for, I have to stay on top of things and that the schools of the future will continue to amaze us with how fast they develop and change.
