Communication is a vital part of society. Without it, we'd be alone and everything would be silent. As humans we thrive on interaction with each other, whether it be face-to-face or technologically. Because many people are now involved in Facebook, Twitter, blogging, and other forms of social media, commenting has become a very popular way to communicate back and forth. When you comment, you begin to interact with people over the internet and make a community since you are all talking and discussing the same things.
From "The Blue Skunk Blog" the author brings up a valid point about writing a blog. Every author wants to be read. When you read a blog I think it is important to leave a comment because otherwise all of us bloggers would feel as if we are wasting our time. Sitting in front of our computer screens all hours of the night is not enjoyable. You want your time to be worth something, your thoughts to be considered and discussed among others.
Another important thing, mentioned in the "Cool Cat Teacher Blog" is to make sure that your comment is substantial. Don't leave just one or two words as a comment. Leave a comment to let the writer or other readers know how you feel about what is being said.
Throughout the semester I will be updating this post to include the names of blogs that I have commented on, the nature of the comments themselves, and why I made them.
